At Bookseedlings, we want you to be delighted with every book you receive. We understand that sometimes a book may not be what you expected, or an issue may occur during its journey to you. Our reader-friendly return policy is designed to be clear, fair, and simple.

1. Our 30-Day Return Window

We offer a 30-day return policy, giving you 30 days from the date of delivery to request a return for most items.

2. Conditions for a Successful Return

To be eligible for a refund, the returned book must be in its original, unread, and resalable condition. This means:

  • The book must be clean, with no bent pages, creased corners, or a cracked spine.

  • There must be no writing, highlighting, or any other markings inside or outside the book.

  • If the book was originally shrink-wrapped, it must be returned with the shrink-wrap intact.

We reserve the right to decline a return if the item does not meet these conditions.

3. Non-Returnable Items

Please note that the following items are ineligible for return:

  • Downloadable Digital Products (if any): Due to their nature, all sales of digital products are final and non-refundable. If you encounter a technical issue with a file, please contact us for assistance.

  • Gift Cards

  • Items marked as “Final Sale”

4. The Return Process: A Simple Guide

To initiate a return, please follow these steps:

  1. Contact Us to Start: Please email our support team at [email protected]. Include your order number and the reason for the return. For damaged or incorrect items, please attach clear photos.

  2. Receive Authorization: Our team will review your request and, if approved, provide you with a Return Authorization (RA) number and the correct return shipping address. Please do not send items back without receiving this authorization.

  3. Package and Ship Your Return: Carefully package the book to prevent damage during transit. Please include the RA number inside the package and ship it using a trackable method.

5. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Books

We meticulously inspect our books, but mistakes can happen. If you receive a book that is damaged in transit, has a printing defect, or is not the title you ordered, please contact us within 7 days of delivery.

  • We will cover all return shipping costs and will promptly send you a replacement or issue a full refund, whichever you prefer. Your satisfaction in these cases is our highest priority.

6. Refunds

Once your returned item is received and inspected at our facility, we will send you an email to confirm its arrival and the status of your refund.

  • Processing Time: If your return is approved, we will process your refund within 3-5 business days.

  • Refund Method: The refund will be credited back to your original method of payment. Please remember that it may take some additional time for your bank or credit card company to post the refund to your statement.

7. Exchanges

The fastest way to ensure you get the book you want is to return the original item for a refund and place a new, separate order for the desired title. This ensures you don’t have to wait for the return process to complete before your new book is on its way.

8. Return Shipping Costs

  • For customer preference returns (e.g., you changed your mind or ordered the wrong book), you will be responsible for the return shipping costs. The original shipping fee is non-refundable.

  • For returns due to our error (damaged, defective, or incorrect item), Bookseedlings will provide a prepaid shipping label and cover all associated costs.

9. Restocking Fees

We believe in a simple and fair policy. Bookseedlings does not charge any restocking fees on approved returns.

10. Order Cancellations

If you need to cancel your order, please contact us immediately. We can only process a cancellation if the order has not yet been assigned a tracking number. Once the order is in the shipping process, it can no longer be canceled but can be returned according to our policy.
